WHO WE SUPPORT
Which IGCSE Students Need Tutoring
Support is adapted to the reason a student is below target or ready for a greater challenge.
SUBJECT SPECIALISTS
IGCSE Subjects We Support
Subject-specialist support across common Cambridge, Edexcel, and international school specifications.

Every subject has different demands
A clear plan, delivered by a subject specialistIDENTIFY THE BARRIER
Common IGCSE Challenges
A clear plan prevents effort from being spread evenly across subjects that need very different levels of attention.
Weak foundations carried forward from earlier years
Applying concepts in unfamiliar questions
Careless errors under timed conditions
Limited past-paper and mark-scheme practice
Planning revision before mocks and public exams
THE ACHIEVERS METHODOLOGY
The Achievers Methodology for IGCSE
We identify why performance is below target, then select the learning pathway that addresses it.

Conceptual Learning
Rebuild missing knowledge, close topic gaps, and develop the understanding needed to apply concepts with confidence.
CONVERT KNOWLEDGE INTO MARKS
Exam Techniques
Improve timing, answer structure, accuracy, question interpretation, and the use of mark schemes and past papers.
CREATE STRUCTURE
Academic Coaching
Build a workable study routine, organise competing deadlines, and maintain accountability between lessons.
MOVE BEYOND THE CURRICULUM

Challenge high-performing students with advanced content, early preparation, and extension work.
PLAN BACKWARDS FROM THE GOAL
IGCSE Exam and Progress Planning
Tutoring sits inside a broader plan so lessons, independent work, and exam preparation move toward the same target.
- Subject and topic priorities
- Topic-by-topic revision sequence
- Past-paper and mock schedule
- Target grades and progress reviews
- Error analysis and correction routines
- Transition planning for A Level or IBDP

Questions from parents and students
Understand the curriculum, teaching approach and progress before deciding.
Does IGCSE tutoring follow the student's exam board?
Bring the school syllabus or course code and intended exam year. We match topic priorities and practice to the specification, including the student's tier or route where applicable. Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel courses should not be treated as interchangeable.
What if a student practises past papers but still loses marks?
We review marked work to separate missing concepts, question interpretation, incomplete working and timing. The next lessons address the recurring cause before returning to timed practice. More papers alone may not resolve a foundation gap.
Can tutoring help with the transition to A Level or IBDP?
Yes. We can prioritise the knowledge and study habits needed for the next course while keeping current IGCSE requirements in view. Share the intended subjects so the plan addresses the relevant transition rather than generic pre-learning.
How does the Achievers Methodology support students who want a bigger improvement?
We first review where learning is breaking down. Conceptual Learning addresses knowledge gaps; Exam Techniques addresses lost marks; Academic Coaching supports study routines; Acceleration & Enrichment provides further challenge. A student's plan can combine pathways and changes with tutor feedback and progress reviews. Improvement depends on the starting point, practice and time available.
Should we choose one-to-one lessons or a small class?
One-to-one tutoring can adapt closely to an individual student's pace and topic gaps. A small class can suit students with a compatible curriculum, level and pace. Share the exam board, subjects, recent marked work and timetable so we can discuss a suitable format and confirm availability and fees.
