CHOOSING YOUR TUTORING

Questions from parents and students

Understand the curriculum, teaching approach and progress before deciding.

How is Digital SAT preparation different from school tutoring?

SAT preparation focuses on its Reading and Writing and Math question types, digital format and pacing. School subject understanding is useful, but practice should also use the relevant SAT format and a review of section-level weaknesses.

What should I bring to plan SAT lessons?

Bring a recent practice score report, examples of difficult questions and the intended test date. Official Bluebook practice can help establish a starting point. We use the evidence to prioritise skills; we do not promise a fixed score increase.

How does the Achievers Methodology support students who want a bigger improvement?

We first review where learning is breaking down. Conceptual Learning addresses knowledge gaps; Exam Techniques addresses lost marks; Academic Coaching supports study routines; Acceleration & Enrichment provides further challenge. A student's plan can combine pathways and changes with tutor feedback and progress reviews. Improvement depends on the starting point, practice and time available.

Should we choose one-to-one lessons or a small class?

One-to-one tutoring can adapt closely to an individual student's pace and topic gaps. A small class can suit students with a compatible curriculum, level and pace. Share the exam board, subjects, recent marked work and timetable so we can discuss a suitable format and confirm availability and fees.
