The learning plan then sets subject priorities and a suitable teaching direction, so the student, tutors and parents know the next step.
The first consultation brings together the student’s curriculum, recent work, learning goals and family concerns. Assessment shows what the student understands and whether they can apply it independently.
Marked papers also help us see whether the barrier is knowledge, timing, answer structure or study habits — so the plan treats the real problem, not every weaker grade as the same issue.
Before deciding how to teach, we first determine:

This pathway helps students rebuild foundations and close topic gaps. A student who can follow a worked example but cannot explain the reasoning may need to revisit the concept and practise applying it in different situations before moving on.

An Original Methodology,
Developed in Hong Kong
The Achievers developed its original methodology in Hong Kong in 2022, bringing academic consultancy and tutoring into one learning plan. This is the background to our positioning as Hong Kong’s first tutorial centre to combine the two. The original Achievers Methodology is available only at The Achievers.
For parents, the practical value is how the method responds to their child: understand the starting point, choose the support, teach with a clear purpose, and review progress. The history matters less than whether the plan fits this student.
